Kajsa and Emil warmly welcome you to their beautiful farm, dating back to 1868, where they live together with their cat Mouche and sheep Bäatrice, Bärit, and Bärta. Here you'll also find chickens, bees, and a vegetable garden focused on self-sufficiency. The farm is continually evolving, and future plans include expanding our vegetable cultivation for local sales. We cultivate more than just the land—we also nurture creativity, as our farm hosts regular workshops in vocal improvisation and vocal process art, led by Kajsa. Here, music and art blend seamlessly with farm life. We have numerous dreams and projects where your help would be greatly appreciated! You might help build a new sheep shed, restore pastureland, or renovate farm buildings to welcome more visitors. Other exciting projects include creating a natural swimming pool or establishing a nut orchard. Self-sufficiency forms the foundation of our daily life, and activities range from everyday chores to long-term projects. Activities you can participate in and learn at our farm include: Sowing and planting Cultivating and harvesting Renovation and building maintenance Baking, preserving, and food processing Taking care of chickens, sheep, and bees Fencing, clearing pastures, and tree care Digging and creating garden beds A typical WWOOF day is planned together the evening before. We work from a list of current tasks, and you can choose to work independently or together with us. Together we create a beautiful and functional environment where life and creativity flourish. About us: Emil is a morning person who usually works early in the day. Living with MS, he works part-time, dedicating his remaining time to rest, socializing, cooking, and daily life activities. Kajsa is a singer and workshop facilitator who organizes cultural activities at the farm, integrating music and art with practical farm tasks such as gardening, cooking, and baking. In our spare time, we enjoy hiking, mushroom picking, swimming in nearby lakes and the sea, and spending quality time with friends and neighbors who share our passion for farming and animal care.

I spend two weeks at Långrådna Kultur and had a wonderful time! Kajsa and Emil welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of their little family. In the mornings, we carried out all sorts of tasks the farm - as well as planting and tending the little tomato and cabbage plants, I was allowed to help look after the three sheep, learnt a lot about working with bees and eagerly awaited the arrival of the little chicks. I never felt left to my own devices whilst working; one of them was always nearby and there wasn’t a question I couldn’t ask! In the afternoons, we usually had free time or did small tasks; I spend the rest of the time going for long walks in the beautiful countryside or on trips to the nearby sea. The farm is quite secluded, which makes it even more inviting to enjoy the quiet, peace and beauty of the surroundings. Thank you so much for the delicious lunches and dinners, for Emil‘s funny anecdotes, for the invitation to Kajsa‘s singing workshop, and of course the film nights with hot chocolate on rainy evenings! Thank you for sharing your life with me, with all its ups and downs and in all its facets, whilst always savouring the little pleasures. I had a wonderful time and hope we‘ll see each other again soon 💛

I stayed with Kajsa and Emil for a week, and my intention was to experience the reality of living self-sufficiently, enjoy some nature, and learn as much as I could. After a week, I left more than satisfied and very grateful :) In the morning I would enjoy a quiet breakfast in the garden, then we would work together for a few hours until lunch time. The tasks varied according to the weather (I had brought with me some rain from Scotland!) and the need that day, so I did some planting inside the greenhouse & outside, weeding, herb-picking, and mulching. I also spent a day on a carpentry project with Emil - we built a chicken feeder! :o After lunch together, we would find our own tasks to do for a little longer, then for the rest of the day we had free time. I would read books in the garden, go on walks, or cycle. The surrounding area is not too exciting, but it is quiet and real, and it is closer to the sea than I thought, so I really enjoyed just smelling the air, and finding cute Swedish-style houses! My highlights were smelling the wonderful flowering trees around their house, meeting the animals, working with my hands and asking many questions, having boar and deer for the first time, and the honey from Kajsa and Emil’s own bees! I would say Kajsa and Emil’s home is a lovely place to experience a slower pace of living, that is at the same time quite normal (in the best sense of the word!). It is a great place to enjoy the little things. Hopefully see you again! :)

I stayed at Kajsa's and Emil's farm at the end of April and really enjoyed it so much! :-) Kajsa and Emil are simply wonderful people: very warmhearted and welcoming, but also humourous and always up for either some deep talks or a cozy film/series evening. Every morning I would give fresh hay and water to the sheep and afterwards we mostly continued with preparing the beds for the vegetable garden or repotting young plants in the greenhouse. Still, there was a big variety in tasks (e.g. going into mass production of gnocchi, cutting wall paper, cleaning the chicken house or building a fence), which I appreciated a lot! Also, I never felt urged to do something I wouldn't like and could instead choose something else. In my free time (usually starting in the early afternoon) I explored the beautiful surroundings on walks, small hikes or on the bikes Kajsa and Emil would offer to us wwoofers. We had lunch and dinner all together (big thanks to Emil for his great cooking skills!) and often also spent the evening together. They were always welcoming to socialise, but if you needed time for yourself, that was also possible. As a wwoofer, you have the whole ground floor for yourself, so there is space to just be alone, if you need that. This was my first wwoofing-experience and I really feel it could not have been better! Tack så väldigt mycket, Emil och Kajsa, ni är fantastiska och jag hoppas att kunna komma tillbaka någon dag! :)

I enjoyed two weeks here on this wonderful farm. Emil and Kajsa are two lovely people who let me felt home from the first day on. In october wasn't that much to do in the garden so kept focusing on projects inside. We renovated an old barn that was fun :) They let me work independently but we did as well a lot of exercises together. I had a lot of free time which I spend with some hiking trips in the beautiful swedish area. Aside from that spend we time in the evening or cooked in the afternoon together. The whole days seemed very relaxed and that was a great feeling. The cutest thing was going out with the sheeps (: Beside of that did I have the chance to improve my swedish. They were very patiently talking with me. All in one it was a wonderful time I wont forget!

Längradna Kultur is definitely something I would recommend. I learned a lot and will remember this time forever. Witnessing the life of Kajsa and Emil is truly inspiring, especially for those who really want to learn about self-sustainability. The natural area is absolutely beautiful, and the place is considered remote - it has actual distance from cities and stores. Perfect for those who will not mind that. So again, I highly recommend and would not trade this time with anything!
