We really enjoyed our time at Ea's place near Sunne. Her place is quite remote near a beautiful lake. We stayed in a seperate small house, which gave us a lot of privacy, and we used the bathroom and kitchen in her main house. In the morning, she made us a nice and nourishing breakfast before we would work in the garden for a couple of hours. The tasks included cutting grass, building raised garden beds, shoveling soil, removing reed, picking berries, planting trees, etc. Often we took a break in which Ea made us very nice waffels with jam from garden berries. After lunch, we would work for another 2-3 hours and cook in the evening. We also got some free time and learned a lot about gardening. We also really liked Ea's very cute dog Findus! Ea is a very interesting and kind person, who was very open about her own life. We had many conversations about nature, society and the world in general. She gave us a lot of life advice, too. She also showed us Sunne, where we had lunch sometimes and went grocery and plant shopping together. Overall, we had a very active and fun week and wish all the best to her and the land!

Ea’s home is located in a beautiful and peaceful rural area between a forest and a lake. We stayed in a cozy cabin and could also use the facilities of the main house. Breakfast and lunch were usually prepared by Ea, while we cooked dinner. The food was healthy and delicious. Ea is an interesting person with extensive knowledge of permaculture and life experience, which she was happy to share. Together with her dog Findus, we went on morning walks where she introduced us to the local nature and various plants. However, we were less satisfied with the organization of work and communication. Working hours were often unclear, making it difficult to know when the workday was finished. We would recommend setting fixed working hours and providing two days off per week. We also felt that some tasks did not align with the educational purpose of WWOOFing and learning about ecological agriculture. Examples included scrubbing the terrace and cleaning an old house with mouse droppings. The latter raised health concerns, as adequate safety measures were not provided. When we politely expressed these concerns, Ea reacted quite upset, despite emphasizing that no task was mandatory. Overall, our stay included many positive experiences, especially the natural surroundings and the opportunity to learn from Ea. We would recommend it to people seeking a quiet place in nature, while also encouraging clearer communication and a more equal relationship with volunteers.

My time with Ea was magical, like entering a cozy, enveloping bubble that allowed me to feel most comfortable. Ea's house is just the right distance from civilization, surrounded by forest and a large lake and about a twenty minute drive from the nearest town. The house is charming, comfortable and very warm and cozy. She is so generous and I really felt at home. It's always nice to talk with her about many topics and she has good advice. Overall, I felt very comfortable and safe with her. I'm sure I'll be back to visit in the future and highly recommend coming with an open heart and mind.

My stay at Ea’s place was one of a kind experience. She is a very kind and generous person, and as a first time wwoofer I felt welcomed and really well taken care of. The place is located in a beautiful area surrounded by lake, 20 minutes away from a little town Sunne, and staying there in winter felt like a true winter fairytale~ I stayed in the main house, since the summer house was too cold for living this time of the year, and there I had a little beautifully decorated space for myself. Overall, the house was clean and well-equipped, comfortable for living during all seasons, as well as tastefully designed. Since I stayed during the cold season, main tasks for everyday were wood cutting for the fire, and snow shovelling. We also prepared meals together, and since Ea is a wonderful cook, I had a lot of fun learning various tips from her. In the evenings we spent a cozy time watching movies together, also I really enjoyed my relaxtion time reading and drawing by the fireplace. Somedays Ea drove us to the town, where you could find many cute local boutiques and second hand shops. Most of all, I enjoyed our enriching conversations about permaculture, nature, psychology and the world in general. They left me with a lot of meaningful realisations and insights to reflect on. I was especially inspired by Ea’s aim to give back to earth, which also was the ground reason for creating such a nice place. I hope it will continue to prosper and grow to an amazing organic homestead!...

My stay at Ea’s place was an amazing experience. She is a kind and warm person, full of positive energy. The place was beautiful, located right in front of the lake. Since the summer house was too cold to stay in during November, I stayed in the main house, which was cozy, clean, and well prepared. Ea kindly took me to Sunne, a town about a 15-minute drive from her place, for a small excursion. I really enjoyed experiencing the peaceful and quiet atmosphere there. In the evenings, we watched movies together. We also had many insightful conversations about agroecology, nature, politics, and more. She showed me her innovative and unique indoor planting methods and told me about her future plans for planting trees around the house. Thank you very much for such a great experience. Hope to see you again!

My stay at Ea's place at the end of the road, close to a lake with a lot of waterfowls and bird-activities, was one of a special kind. This potential natural area to become self-sufficiënt gave me a lot of opportunities to work on and with. From restoring sheds and buildings to maintenance and clearing out the property were a range of variaties. She took good care as a host, was involved and has a well-equipped house. I stayed at an old-style summerhouse with a lot of privacy. We had some lovely excursions in and around beautiful Sunne in Värmland. The conversations we had were of interesting content and gave some helpful reflections and insights. Thank you very much for such a pleasant time. I appreciated it a lot and hopefully we might meet again. Best wishes Rudie
