Hello WWOOFERS! My name is Lillemor and I have a site in Gräfsnäs, Sollebrunn, Sweden. The design of the site is as much Permaculture as possible. It includes agroforestry in shape of forest garden for example. I am educated teacher, I hold a Permaculture cerfiticate and has an education in agroforsetry. All I do has permaculture as a purpose. But of course it is not complete or ready. I am, after all, still a part of our society. Here you will find food production as perennial crops, annual crops, seed production, ducks and chickens, water storage, tools run with electricity or handcraft when possible. Please ask to try the scythe if you like! Typical farming activities are nursing the birds, nursing the plants, weeding, harvesting, refinement, conservation, pruning, planting and keeping things going. We will work togethet. 5-6 hours a day, never more than that, and have breaks for lunch of course. If you like, we change what time of the day you are active. Of course I check with you your interests and skills and we make a as nice program of your days as possible. In free time you are welcome to use the workshop or garden for your own projects as long as we agree on what materials to use. Or you use the hammock all evening or make a hammock for the site :) At my place you will find accomodation both on top of the workshops in a separate house or on the second floor in the bigger house. You will have a private room. You will make breakfast and dinner on your own, and a simple but filling lunch will be offered to eat together. It is a nice time for evaluation of the work and making new plans. We'll also have a nice meal together on your arrival day. On the second floor in the big house is a small kitchen with two stovetops, an oven and a microwave oven. The one thing you cannot do here is to fry i frying pan, but in the oven you can fry food. Here is also a small fridge. The washing up is to be done in the big kitchen on the bottom floor. You are supposed to do most of your washing each day. There will be abundance of fresh vegetables from the garden (a lot of different spinach and leeks all season ) to eat, rice and pasta and other things we agree on before you arrive. My hobbies are gardening, ceramics and reading and seeing friends and family. In the evenings, I will spend my time on my own for most times. There are plenty of things to do in the neighbourhood. Nearby you will find big forests, a small mountain with a nice view from the top, and plenty of things to go and find out. I have a list of things that can be interesting. There is a nice park to visit 500 meters away. Here are many visitors in summertime, a very nice bathing place, ice cream stand, restaurant, old museum buildings and a quite exciting ruin castle. Now and then there are events going on in the park: read more at https://grafsnasslottspark.se/ About 200 meters away you can take a ride with a museum train:. Www.agj.net It is easy to take the bike to new places or to run errands in Sollebrunn five kilometer north. The bus stops 30 meters from the house ( bus stop is called "Gräfsnäs") , and takes yoy within five minutes to the village Sollebrunns where you can find drugstore, supermarket, a municipality office, hairdressers and some shops. Of course you can borrow a bike to go here. In the other direction you will find the small town called Alingsås, "The capital of fika", a very cosy town, and from here you can take the train to Gothenburg. Since I strike very hard not to make unneccessary impact on climate and resources I do not accept going by plane to visit me. Please consider train and bus for your travel and think of all the nice time you have contemplating while travelling. I hope you will enjoy your stay at my place. I Will do my best to make you enjoy your stay!

I had a wonderful week staying with Lillemor. The house and gardens are beautiful, and it’s only a 25-minute bus ride from the lovely town of Alingsås. Lillemor is an incredibly kind and open-minded person, and she’s an excellent cook as well—she bakes delicious bread! I hope to come back and say hello again.
