THE HOSTS Malin and Martin, have been growing vegetables on this farm for nearly 20 years now. From 2008 we have had wwoofers with us, which has been a fantastic enrichment of our lives. From 2025 our former wwoofer Sarah lives and works with us. THE WWOOF EXPERIENCE Staying and working on our farm is best described as a holistic lifestyle experience. Apart from the work you will experience life remote from a town, in the middle of nature (yet close to Stockholm), with forest, wild animals, lakes, quietness, wind, wheather all around you. During your stay you'll be part of our little community, with our shared evening meals as a highlight of the day. We let you be part of our life style. We share our thoughts about food, health, gardening, and are eager to learn about your thoughts. During the work you will learn new skills, understand why we do things the way we do. You will spend most of the time outdoors, sweat in the summer and feel the more challenging wheather conditions like rain, cold and sometimes snow in the autumn. As the work is physical, you need to be healthy and fit and you will get your hands dirty. THE FARM AND PRODUCTION 2007 we started an organic and biodynamic vegetable garden on a small holding about 80 km south of Stockholm. It’s situated in between lakes and forests and there are a lot of wild animals around like deer, wild pigs and sometimes elks. We grow around 20 different vegetables on ca 2 ha and we have a greenhouse with tomatoes. We sell to private customers via a boxing system, that we pack once a week as soon as the harvest time starts. We also sell as part of a farmers cooperative to shops, restaurants and schools. In the autumn we take part at the farmers market scheme in Stockholm. From October we start with lactic acid fermentation of our own vegetables. THE WORKING TEAM We, who (full time) work on the farm are Malin, Sarah and Martin. We have also two employees with special needs working with us part time. They live a lot on the farm, too. Martin comes originally from England. Malin grew upp in Germany but has swedish roots. And Sarah is from Germany, and lives here together with her dog Molle. Malins mother also lives in a house on the farm. THE WORK The main work on our farm consists of gardening according to season: In April, May and June there is a lot of sowing, planting, watering to do and general preparations for the growing season. In June and July the main work consists of weeding, but also preparing wood for next winters fuel and taking care of the tomato plants in the greenhouse. From the middle ofJuly we start harvesting. We harvest daily different vegetables and pack them for our customers and for the markets. Sometimes there are also other things that need doing like cutting the grass, painting, maintanance and other things. Most of the time we work together as a team, but there are times you need to do things on your own/with other wwoofers. GARDENING METHODS We are a certified organic and biodynamic vegetable garden. The basics in organic and biodynamic farming is that we take care of the soil and the life in it, since this is the basics for all life. We want to make sure that the soil can regenerate and even get better by increasing the humus content by binding C0 2 from the air, something very important in times of climate change. To achieve that, we practice crop rotation, use a lot of green manure (like clover plants) and use compost and manure to enrich the soil. We also use the biodynamic preparations for healthy and resilient plants. We grow a lot of different plants to stimulate biodiversity. WWOOFERS ON THE FARM We have room for 2 wwoofers from May till July, and 3 wwoofers from August till November. We'd like you to stay a minimum of 4 weeks (or longer), as we find that this is beneficial both for you and us. Having wwoofers on the farm has been a tremendously rewarding experience and it does give us life quality in so many ways. Apart from making our work easier, getting to know peolpe, their culture, the way they think, brings life and sociability to our farm. THE ACCOMODATION Accomodation is provided in different places. During spring and summer you will stay either in a room in the barn with simple standard, or in a caravan. There is a kitchen/common room in the barn for your breakfast and lunch. In a separate building there is a toilet, shower and washing maschine. From August we have a holiday house available, where 3 wwoofers can stay in seperate rooms. WORKING HOURS You’ll be working with us with the things that are needed each day, mond-fri 8-15.30. We stopp for lunch 12-13.30 so that you help us for 6 hours per day. Every week we have a planning meeting, so everyone knows what's happening on the farm the following week. At the weekend you have free time to do walks, excursions, visit Stockholm or just relax. FOOD AND MEALS Breakfast and lunch you eat on your own together with the other wwoofers in the common room. For that we provide a vegetarian diet, that contains a reasonable amount of animal products (no meat). The evening meal we eat together during the week. We take turns with cooking, which means that you will also be cooking the evening meal once a week. For varies reasons we eat a vegan and glutenfree diet. If you're not familiar with it, we can help you with recepies for cooking. Since we are food nerds and environment idealists, there is usually some talk about food and why we have chosen this lifestyle. AFTER WORK ACTIVITIES There is a lake nearby where you can go swimming in the summer or use our little rowing boat, It is very peaceful here and walking and cycling are very enjoyable. Most wwoofers also take some trips to Stockholm and other towns nearby. From August till the end of October you can get a lift to Stockholm and back on Saturdays, when we go to the market. OUR INTERESTS We are interested in music, we play some instruments and like singing. We also enjoy going to swedish traditional dances occasionally, there you can join if you feel like it. Otherwise we are interested in food, cooking, walks and spending time in nature. VIDEO ABOUT WWOOF 2025 Auriane, sister to one of our customers, made a little video about us and wwoof: https://youtu.be/rL4MlJ652fM We're looking forward to meeting lots of nice people from around the world, as we've done for the past 18 years. Thanks to everyone that has been here and enriched our lives! Malin, Martin and Sarah Certifications: Demeter, KRAV Internet access available

From Arlanda / Stockholm city you take the train "pendeltåg " to station "Södertälje hamn". There you change to the train to "Gnesta" (see sl.se). Then you take the bus to "Örnbo" (check out sormlandstrafiken.se). From there we pick you up.

It was so wonderful to volunteer at Peterslunds with Malin and Martin. I learned so much and had such a great time with everyone on the farm. I learned a lot about all the different types of vegetables, fermentation and storage, while improving my English and enjoying cultural exchange. Thanks a lot, I had a wonderful time.

I really recommend wwoofing here! I worked here for almost 2 months. Here you live in the middle of the forest. You harvest many different vegetables and package them. I liked harvesting the most. The fields are huge, and you can harvest pumpkins, cabbage, chard, black kale, green kale, carrots, corn, beet root and much more. There is also a greenhouse where you harvest tomatoes. You will also learn how to make sauerkraut and kimchi, and experience the fermentation process. I have never enjoyed eating vegetables and salad as much as I did on this farm, it was so delicious! I felt very connected to nature and learned a lot about farm life here. The farmers here are very funny and friendly. As others have said in their reviews, it was also for me one of the best experiences of my life!

Malin and Martin are wonderful hosts, welcoming and inspiring, and the whole team is kind and fun. I highly recommend this farm to anyone looking for both learning and a warm community in nature.

It was so wonderful to volunteer at Peterslunds with Malin and Martin. I learned so much and had such a great time with everyone on the farm. The work was fun and fulfilling and Malin did a great job making sure our tasks were varied. Cooking with vegetables we harvested then eating with everyone and having great conversation was so fun. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and super peaceful. I am so glad I came to this farm and I would definitely recommend volunteering here. Thank you again Malin and Martin for one of the best experiences of my life. I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend a month. You are such kind people and you have a beautiful farm!
