We are a busy family with four children, we work long days but also take some time of for recreation. The boys are 21, 24, 27, 29 years old and the two eldest live and study in Stockholm and Uppsala.  We have 25 dairy cows and they are milked in a milking robot. They are grass fed during the summer from May to October. We also have 16  ewes, they will have their lambs (hopefully two each) in  April to May. If you're interested in driving a tractor there might be a possibility to help us driving on the fields. We have a small dairy on the farm where we make yoghurt, milk, some cheese and ice-cream. We sell these products in our farm shop along with our meat and a variety of things from other local farmers. In the summer we also have a small café in the garden where we serve ice-cream and bake pastery. The farm is situated 120 km from Stockholm and 6 km from Nyköping. I spent six weeks at Ösvreta and I had the most wonderful time! Anna is very passionate about her work and it was so much fun to help her in the dairy and the Café. From making cheese, cream and yoghurt to sellingthe self-made ice cream, she explained everything and let me be part of the process. We also baked together and serving the customers was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed that I also got to sometimes help bring the cows in with Mats and two of their sons. It´s really nice that you get to see the whole process from milking a cow to processing the milk and making so many different foods out of it. I had a very nice room above the Café and from my window I was able to see the cows and the pigs every morning. Overall Anna and Mats always made sure I was feeling well and they were happy to give advise on what to do in the area. We even went on some trips together, to see the coast or different lakes. They also lent us bikes or even the car if we wanted to go somewhere on our own. Their whole family is very welcoming and we had such a great time playing games together! Everyone was happy to tell us about all kinds of stuff. I learned a lot about Sweden in my time there. Thank you Anna, Mats and the rest of the family for the amazing time I got to spent in Sweden!

I spent 2 weeks at Annas farm and wish I would have stayed longer. I immediately felt included which might have been because I got so lucky to spend a lot of the freetime with 2 of Anna and Mats sons and a friend that came all the way for the kayak race in town. But also the work in the dairy and the café made me feel needed and productive. We made cheese, cream, yoghurt, ice cream (my favorite part!) and filled up milk. We baked for the café and served the happy costumers. We always ate together and were joined by the curious eyes of the chickens, ewes and cats. The farm shop, café and the farm over all is really beautiful. Me and the other WWOOFer were lent bikes and rode into town or the a nearby lake. On my last day, Anna even carved out time to take me to the coast. Thank you Anna and your family!

It was so nice to have Larissa here on our farm, even if it was only for two weeks. Larissa is friendly and polite, and she’s eager to do her tasks well. She helped me in the dairy where we pasteurised milk, cheese and made ice cream, and she also baked some cakes for the café. We had a great time working together, just as we did during our shared meals. In her free time, she took the opportunity to bike to the lake, visit our nearest city, or simply relax with a good book in the hammock. I believe that enjoying your free time is just as important as doing good work. I will gladly give Larissa my highest recommendation and wish her all the best in the future. Thank you so much for letting us get to know you, Larissa!

I spent a very nice time on this farm! In addition to practical work on the farm like maintenance of the machines, my main job was to take care of the animals: feeding the pigs, checking cows whether they have been milked from the milking robot, cleaning the barn and caring for the calves. I already miss my four little calves ... In addition, I got to know a lot about Sweden in the six weeks. On the free weekend or after work, Anna and Mats can give you lots of tips for wonderful trips into nature. The farm is perfectly located between the Baltic Sea, lakes and forest. In summer there were a lot of young people on the farm and it was a nice togetherness.

I spent a very nice time at Ösvreta Gård. My tasks were very diverse, e.g. prepairing the beautiful cafè garden for guests and work related to the animals. What I enjoyed most was painting the chicken house in tipically red-white swedish colouration. It was interesting to get an insight into the dairy work. Good food! There were a lot of people on the farm. We had ambitious soccer matches :) The surrounding of Ösvreta Gård offered everything I was expecting from Sweden. Ana and Mats can give reliable information about the most beautiful places that you can visit.
