I am a retired teacher, who left town and now live where I was grown up. .The place is beautiful and with more handsit is possible to make it even nicer. I do really like to share the place with people, who also love the nature, love animals and love to grow things and enjoy working with it. You might not have much experoence, that´s okej. The main thing is that you have the interest.. If you look for a place in June this might be the right one.. There are many things to plant and so on.

The farm is in Sjöbo kommun, ¤ Swedish miles east of Lund. Buses go frequently from Lund to Sjöbo. Will be picked up by car there.

Dear Iris, we really had a great stay at your farm! We immediately felt at home and enjoyed every day. Especially cutting blackberries, weeding vegetable beds, spending time with the cute cats, sorting apples and of course our visit at the cinema in Sjöbo. We wish you the best, thanks for everything :) Greetings Ramona&Emma Dear future wwoofers, if you're looking for an inspirational and calm environment with various tasks around the garden, we really recommend this place! Iris is a very good cook, we had very delicious porridge every day for lunch. The house is super cozy and the wwoofer-room is wonderful with a beautiful view on the fields, where we saw many wild geese every morning (Nils Holgersson Vibes!) On weekdays its easy to drive from the farm to Sjöbo by SkaneFlex. We visited the seaside town of Ystad near the East Sea. There is a great beach und the houses are old and pretty. The little forest next to Iris' farm is wild and beautiful with a lot of deers (Once we saw a stag!). The Flora cinema in Sjöbo is also very nice. A typical day at Iris' farm can look like this: Breakfast between 8 and 9 o´clock with fresh eggs, bread, tea... You may start with collecting blackberries or weeding vegetable beds... lunch around 12:30. Porridge time! After a break you may continue with sorting apples, collecting other things, working with line oil... Around 5 o´clock it's dinner time we will never forget our amazing stay at Iris' farm... Thanks for everything!

I was very lucky to spend a wonderful 18 days at Iris’ garden. Iris is a great host! She is an incredibly strong, kind, and generous spirit. I got to do various tasks, including stacking firewood, weeding, planting, and picking berries. Iris is accommodating to the work schedule, I usually did a few hours in the morning between breakfast and lunch and finished up in the early afternoon. The house and the surroundings are so very beautiful, with how the light filters through the trees and flowers into the house, and the bedroom window looks out over rolling fields. My room was spacious and comfortable. There are many adorable cats. The food is fresh and healthy, we ate mostly vegetarian with some fish and chicken meat (the baked makrill is sublime). The location is great as well - my days off I got to explore Copenhagen, Lund, Malmo, and Ystad! There is a bike you can borrow which takes you into town in 20-30 minutes, and a bus you can book that will pick you up right from the farm. Thank you so much Iris for welcoming me to your home!

The garden has vegetables, fruits and flowers. We planted and harvested plants and pulled out weeds. She has an old bike that was still good enough to cycle to a lake (45-60 min drive) and the local Village (20-30 min ). The house was not very clean but my room was. There are many cats. The bees she sold.

I stayed here for four days in June and left earlier, because I felt uncomfortable here.

Our stay with Iris was incredibly peaceful, beautiful, and enjoyable. Iris is a fantastic host with a lot of knowledge, insight, humor, and great cooking skills. We learned about compost, potting, planting, scything, and more! We were able to settle into a nice daily routine with her on pretty consistent times which provided structure for the variety of tasks we were doing. Enjoying evenings in the yard with the cats is fantastic after a day of working hard and eating well. If you want to escape the bustle of the city this is a great place to be! There are plenty of places to visit around the area, too, like Lund or the summer towns of Ystad and Simrishamn. It was a pleasure to see how our efforts shaped her beautiful garden during our time, and we hope future WWOOFers find it just as rewarding as we did.

I stayed at "Iris garden" only three days because I had to come back early due to a family problem. Iris came to pick me up with her red car. She is a strong, warming and intelligent 80 year old woman with a beautiful smile and an interesting planting and gardening knowledge. The place was very amazing. A big garden with a lot flowers, plants, fruit trees, chickens and cute cats. The country around is very gorgeous The nearest bus station is at three kilometers with a very low bus frequency and the nearest town Sjobo is at 8 kilometers. The house is a typical rustic country Swedish house needs some maintenance, some rooms were quite messy particularly the kitchen. My room and the blankets were very clean and the bed comfortable. Iris has a strong character and she is very determined but the amount of work indoor and outdoor is too much for her. The second day I worked for about 5/6 hours, planting, weeding and indoor helping Iris to tidy up another room for another girl woofers that didn't arrive. There were very precises eating hours and the type of food was very limited so I suggest you should bring some favourite food because the nearest shop is very far away. If you decide to go to Iris keep in mind my tips!
