I am a 73 years old woman living on a small property in a charming village in the beautiful countryside of Södermanland. I am now retired from my work at the Swedish Migration Board. I live alone but my two children 31 and 33 years old and their families sometimes are at home. I have a small organic garden where I grow strawberries, raspberries, potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, beetroot, zucchini, lettuce, kale, herbs, and flowers. I also have a greenhouse for tomatoes, cucumber, herbs, eggplant, and peppers. My garden also has black- and redcurrants, apple trees, and pears. In the big barn, I have 15 hens and hopefully chickens in the summertime. I need help with all the different works around gardening, taking care of the hens and cleaning the stall, and working with woodcutting and wood-splitting. There is often some painting works to be done and this year I have some constructing projects like building a car-port. I can host 1-2 people at a time and you can stay at my house. All meals are provided and we prepare them together. Other I have bicycles and canoes to borrow. There is a beautiful big lake with many islands only less than 2 km away and there are beautiful surroundings for running or bike trips. There is also a sauna in the garden. We like folkmusic. Certifications: I´m not producing for any market just for myself and my family's needs. Internet access available

We spend two wonderful weeks with Sylvia. It was our first ever wwoofing experience and we enjoyed it so much! We did a lot of different things like wood cutting, feeding the hens, harvesting vegetables and cleaning the greenhouse. Sylvia introduced us to her really kind family, friends and neighbours. She was teaching us a lot of different practices and gave us tips for living more sustainably. We can only recommend this place! Thank you for everything Sylvia!

I had an unforgettable stay at Sylvia home. She welcomed me like a family member, sharing her lovely place and life with me for a week. She aslo really integrated me into community life and activities. Sylvia is funny, interesting and super generous ! As for work time, I had mutliple activities, like taking care of the hences, gardening, fencing, building and fixing few things, and even helping with bees ! Sylvia is often busy but she always found time for helping me, giving me advices, and offering great moments and super delicious meals :) Sylvia really takes care of sharing small and precious moments of life and I had great times of talking and sharing with her. I also had such great times with all Ripsa people ! Tack så mycket for your generosity !

We had a wonderful time with Sylvia! We spent 3 full working days with her and were so happy that she was able to squeeze us in to her schedule. We helped out with weeding, planting, removing dead trees and branches, fed the chickens and other tasks where we were able to learn about organic farming. Other than that we were invited to participate in her day to day life with activities like hiking, biking, an outdoor workout class and visiting some beautiful sights in the area. We would highly recommend this experience!

I had the chance to spend one week with Sylvia on my own, and it was an amazing experience that I really enjoyed. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely welcomed and at ease. Along with working in the garden, I also had the pleasure of taking part in several leisure activities with Sylvia - I had so much fun! It was my first wwoofing experience that I can only recommend!! Thank you so much Sylvia!

I had a wonderful experience on Sylvia's homestead. She's a lovely lady, who offered to bring me to all her hobbies, which I went & really enjoyed. Sylvia is a great cook, loved all the meals she prepared. She has a lovely warm home & made me feel like I owned it, we got all the jobs done that she wanted except one & on that note, maybe I will go back next year to finish it.... Wonderful experience, thank you again slyvia.....
