Mixed Farm
Södermanland
Looking for a new volunteers for 2026, right now from around the 16th of May onwards!
We like our volunteers to stay at least three to four weeks, and longer periods are good! Of course anyone can send a request. We are looking forward to reading it. A big plus if you have experience with horses.
Our farm is an organic farm with vegetables and animals. We grow tomato- and chiliplants and produce vegetables. Most of our animals are of a protected Swedish breed. We have goats, chicken, three horses and three small cows. And of course our labrador Bosse, Nisse and Zippe our cats! In Fall and Winter you will be a single volunteer but in Summer you will most likely be joined by at least one other volunteer. You will stay in an a small apartment with your own shower and toilet. Wireless internet is also available there.
We are three people who live on the farm; Peter, Hans and our 11-year-old daughter Sophia. We live in the main house. Many great volunteers from all over the world have spent a few weeks here while working with us on our farm. If you come to Krogstorp you will get an experience on a small farm in a beautiful landscape.
We work regular jobs besides farming. We work on the farm during high season. You have to be prepared for quite some alone time because we are at work during the day.
We eat dinner (not vegan) together and talk about what needs to be done and how we devide the chores. The routines with the animals include feeding, change their water and make sure all is well. Mucking for the horses and cows is also something that needs to be done. And walking Bosse a few times per day.
In Winter we start seeding the plants in our basement. In the beginning the plants grow under lamps. When they are big enough we move them to one of the greenhouses. There they become big enough to be sold. In Spring and Summer we mainly do seeding, potting and re-potting, weeding, weed-wacking, watering, maintaining and cleaning, and fixing fences and fields. But also some construction and carpentry.
In July and August we have to do seeding of vegetables, weeding, harvesting etc. Lots of work on the vegetable patch. Weeding also continues. We grow potatoes, corn, leek, unions, beans, beets, peas, cucumbers, pumpkins etc. Cleaning the stables to prepare for the rest of the year and Winter is also a thing that needs to be done at the end of Summer. In your free time, which usually is the weekend, there is a lot to explore. If you want to leave the farm that is - both in the vicinity as well as longer trips to Stockholm or other interesting sites. There is a bus stop near the farm which takes you to the bus or train station in Gnesta and Nyköping. Stockholm is nearby and so is Nyköping. There are many lakes around the farm and in summer we often take a dive in lake ´Båven´ at the end of the day.
We are not vegetarians/vegans. When you send in a request please let us know if you have any allergies or things you do not or cannot eat. Also if you have any kind of special needs just let us know in advance. Of course we provide for your food, sheets and towels during the entire length of your stay. We enjoy the company of people from other parts of the world and are interested in hearing your stories. We like to learn, share and teach. Welcome to contact us and tell us more about yourself and what you want to experience!
Welcome to Krogstorp!

The farm is just an hour south of Stockholm. The nearby town of Gnesta has train connections to Stockholm, the airport and the rest of Sweden. Bussline 525 takes you close to the farm from both Gnesta and Nyköping

I spent three wonderful weeks at Krogstorp with Hans and Peter, it was my first wwoof-ing experience and I will never forget it ! I left them with the same feeling you may have when you leave your home : I wanted to stay ! All their animals were nice and/or funny, the life here was better than what I could expect before coming there and the work was not hard and quite relaxing. We could learn from each other and joke about a lot of things. I can't thank them enough for these three weeks, this is why I'm coming back.
Tack och vi ses i augusti

We stayed in Krogstorp for only two and a half weeks but we felt warmly welcomed from the very first moment. The contact was extremly familiar and we had some very nice hours of playing cards and so on. The property is gorgous. We really appreciated the time and recommend Krogstorp to everyone who is looking for a friendly and familiar wwoofing farm.

This year I had my first Wwoofing experience. I'm really glad that I was welcome to do this at Krogstorp. Hans and Peter made sure that the Wwoofers felt at home and enjoyed their time at the farm. They asked me a lot if I had a good stay and they discussed with me what kind of job I wanted to do. When I was there I felt more comfortable with the animals every day and it was nice to see progress in the work I did at the farm. At the same time, it was so easy going at the farm that it didn’t feel like working at all. Hans and Peter are really interested in you as a person and they appreciated the work you do. If you want to do something in your free time they help you organize it. It’s easy to plan a trip to Stockholm in your free time. The surrounding is beautiful, I saw a lot of deer and in the right season you can pick mushrooms in the woods. I don’t see any reasons not to come to Krogstorp. I had a super nice time at the farm and would really recommend Wwoofing with Hans and Peter.

I stayed at Krogstorp in july through august, and the experiences I've had are still in my mind and in my heart. From the very first moment I felt welcome and comfortable. Hans and Peter made sure not only to guide us through whatever needed to be done but to teach and to involve us in their farming, conversations and life. I've learned so much during my stay thanks to them.
I absolutely recommend wwoofing in Krogstorp. The farm is stunning and every day is a little bit different and special. Hans and Peter are great and kind, and you can definitely do some great traveling while staying there. I promise you won't regret coming to Krogstorp.

It's difficult to summarize all the experiences I had at Krogstorp. The farm is literally paradise in earth and the surroundings are astonishing. Hans and Peter are super friendly, easy going and open-minded, they make you feel like home. It is also easy to visit some interesting places nearby, with daily connections to Gnesta and Stockholm. I strongly recommend anybody interested in organic farming, swedish culture and nature wwoffing in Krogstorp as I couldn't imagine a better place to do it.
