Welcome to one of the largest decorated farmhouses of Hälsingland! These farms are often referred to as wooden castles as they are so large and have so many windows. Tourist pay to come and spend a couple of nights in a decorated farmhouse of Hälsingland. Our farm is from 1880 and was built with only natural materials. The farm is situated out in the peaceful countryside in a small village between two lakes. There is a beautiful view of the blue mountains on the horizon. Here you will become a part of our family: cooking, dining, and washing dishes together. We often go out in the garden and harvest vegetables, herbs, berries, and fruit and then cook delicious meals from the treasures. We can make an evening cup of tea from freshly picked green leaves of mint, lemon verbena, or black currant. We love berries! There are 25 different kinds of berries to harvest at our farm! We have 37 hens and two roosters. And besides that two wild squirrels living in our attic, hedgehogs, a bumblebee nest, and swallow nests. If you are lucky you may see a moose or deer walk by. There is also a lynx in the area, but she is rarely spotted. Examples of tasks: Sowing, planting, weeding, watering, fertilization, hedge cutting, berry picking, painting indoors/outdoors, renovating windows, cooking, and preparing lacto-fermentet carrots. Here is a harvest calendar (will be updated with more later): Januari: green cale. October: aronia berries, parsley, oregano, green kale, leek, nettles, apples, chockolate mint, chantarelles. November: green cale, leek, aronia berries. December: green cale. We strive towards self sufficinecy. Today we are self sufficient in: Potatoes Carrots Eggs Plums Apples Oregano Blueberries Raspberries Lingonberries Sea buckthorn Wild strawberries Red/black currant Gooseberries Nettles Ground elder Rhubarb Next goal is to become self sufficient in onions and garlic. We have three private bedrooms for wwoofers, and a tiny-house. 9 beds in total. Bikes to lend. Skies to lend. Kick sleds to lend. Computers with internet access to lend. 2.5 km running/skiing tracks nearby in the woods. Lake is 700 m away. To do in your free time: Enjoy a sauna bath in our own sauna. Visit Avholmsberget, Gulåsen, Josefs mountain, or Rövarklitt and enjoy the beautiful view of our two crater lakes and mountains. Visit the famously decorated farmhouses of Hälsingland (World heritages). Play Ping-Pong or padel tennis. Go rail biking past lakes, woods, and tunnels. Go hiking on the nearby hiking track. Pick mushrooms in the woods. Go skiing or kick sledding in winter. Lovely skiing tracks are just around the corner. Do Yoga. Play piano/keybord. Bike to a spa 10 km away where you can enjoy a sauna and a dip in the river. If you come by car: Nearest downhill ski slope Järvsöbacken is 50 minutes away and you can rent skis. Stroll the city of Hudiksvall and visit museums. During summer there is a free folk music festival every Wednesday here in our village. You may borrow my guitar or flute and join the musicians. Rent kayaks and paddle in rivers and lakes. During the winter we typically see the northern lights here maybe two or three times.  Organic methods: The soil in the vegetable garden is covered with grass cuttings from the lawn and weeded weeds. So-called mulching. Internet access is available, but we have no WIFI due to the health concerns. Welcome!

From Stockholm or Arlanda. Take the train to Hudiksvall (takes 2:30 hours). Then take bus 20 to Bytesboden (see xtrafik.se) and will pick you up there.

My friend and I spent around three weeks at Linn’s Farm in winter, and our stay was wonderful!🌿 Linn is a very caring and interested host, someone you can easily talk to and connect with, even outside of work. The work was diverse and we learned many new things. From splitting and sorting wood to helping in the kitchen, every day was different. That she cared for our wellbeing was also very positive, we could drink and snack whenever it was needed. We especially loved the time we spent cooking together with Linn and Eric. And we really have to mention the food! Linn and Eric are amazing cooks, and you can definitely learn a lot from them. 🥗 The surroundings of the farm are beautiful. On our days off we could explore the area around the Farm, go hiking, borrow snowshoes or skis, or visit Hudiksvall by bus. We would definitely recommend this farm, particulary if you enjoy cooking and already feel a bit comfortable in the kitchen. Thank you, Linn, for this beautiful experience, it felt like we were one big family caring for your farm and special thanks to Eric as well! ☺️🫶🏻 Marlene & Inaya

I spent a great time at Linn’s farm. It was wonderful but really short because, unfortunately, I came back home for personal reasons. I want to say thank you to Linn. She’s a wonderful host, really kind and welcoming, and she cares about your well-being at the farm. The work at the farm is diverse. We cooked some delicious meals. I also want to acknowledge Erik’s kindness and the other woofers as well. Thank you all for your support, your listening and your understanding. I will never forget this. I highly recommend this farm.

We had a truly wonderful WWOOFing experience! 🌿 The atmosphere was very family-like — we cooked and ate meals together, shared stories, and spent time picking berries. Linn is such an awesome and kind lady who made us feel completely at home. My whole family enjoyed the stay and we will always cherish the memories. 💚

I stayed at Linn‘s farm for almost three weeks, and really enjoyed it. The work was diverse, so it never got boring and also not too hard. Some of the tasks were caring for the chickens, splitting firewood and painting a wardrobe. You also become part of the family from the beginning, which is really nice. The nature at the farm is really beautiful, especially the lake, that is amazing for skiing in the winter. There is always enough food, and Linn is a really good cook, as well as being always kind. I would definitely recommend this farm to other Wwofers, also to first time Wwofers like me. Thank you Linn :)

I had a wonderful time at Linn's farm. A great host, Linn is a caring and interesting person with a lot of projects going on. We had genuine human exchanges that went beyond the work itself ... a feel-at-home vibe that I really appreciated . Depending on the season you can ask the task you will be doing. Farm work is not only about taking care of the animals or gardening, it is also about renovating, fixing and upgrading the farm. So make sure it fits what you want to do. Last but not least the surroundings are stunning and Linn's family is adorable. I definitely recommend this place.
