Our familyrun farm is located in the beutiful countryside in the south east of Sweden. Our farm has been organic since we started 20 years ago. If you want to stay an a farm with various kinds of animals and like to learn more about selling directly to customers ,then this is maybe your place:)
We are a family of 5 and our children are born 2004, 2007 and 2011. Two dogs and two cats are also part of the family.
We raise grazing pigs, hens and cows. On our fields we grow a various kinds of crops but also veggies for house use. We have had a lot of agriculture interns on the farm before and have been Whoof hosts one time before and we really enjoyed it.

In the fields we grow canola, peas, grass, grain of various kinds, lupine and field beans. On the farm we have a small vegetable cultivation for house needs (tomatoes, potatoes, kale, cabbage, beans, etc.) We sell through our farm shop and farmers markets.
We hope to teach you a bit about pigs, hens, soil health, plant cultivation, building maintenance and how to grow grain more sustainably.
We would love to have an online meeting on Skype or Zoom so we can show the accommodation more and talk about your expectations for our stay with us.

October 2025
I had two wonderful weeks at this farm. My tasks were varied: cleaning pigsties, collecting and sorting eggs, packing sausages, picking vegetables in the vegetable garden, potting strawberry plants, selling products at the farmers' market, moving animals from place to place, harvesting potatoes, feeding the animals, and of course petting lots of animals in between. In addition to the hens, pigs and cows, there were the sweetest dog and cat. But above all, there was the warm family and the cosy atmosphere. I really enjoyed eating together, having fika, visiting the sauna, swimming etcetera. Furthermore, the cottage where I stayed (separate from the main house) was very nice. My first introduction to Sweden and life on an organic farm and everything that goes with it was so good: Thank you for this experience and for the things you have taught me.

My partner and I planned to stay at Voxtorp for a few weeks, and it ended up being 3 months! We loved being a part of the family with Karin and Jonas, and their 3 children Judith, Olof and August. We took part in every meal, plus fika at 0930 and 1500 every day, always with something delicious homemade or from the garden. While we were there we took care of the pigs, which included feeding and watering them, inseminations, birthing piglets and moving the pigs houses (in the summer months). We also took care of the three horses, and could go riding with them as well. We built a giant greenhouse together, and a moveable house for the baby chickens, as well as Sebastiaan learning abut the crops and tractors and how to handle them. When we weren’t doing that we were doing sports, cooking, or learning some Swedish traditions together. We think of Karin and Jonas as our Swedish extended family, and have already made plans to go back and visit, helping them out with the pigs of course, but also just to have a barbecue or nice meal together and celebrate our friendship and the path that brought us together! Karin and jonas taught us so much, not only about pigs, but also about Sweden, the Swedish language, and most importantly, fika and the 1230 20 minute nap on weekdays :) Thank you again Karin and Jonas!
