Welcome to our family! We are Staffan, a skilled carpenter, Veronica, gardener with a passion for the kitchen garden, Frank 17, and Maud 12 years. Here is also a group of hens, 2 pigs and cats. We live in a strawbale house since 2020 built by ourselves. There is still some work to be done on the house. But in the spring, most of the time goes to the Market garden. We sell vegetable boxes to the locals every week in the summer.
The chores will mainly be in the garden with pre-cultivation and preparing beds for the vegetables. I want to share my knowledge of cultivation and my love for the soil and the plants, through the way we grow here. It can also be clay construction work, restoration, and painting with egg oil tempera
We start the day with breakfast at 7 and work at 8 a.m. We expect WWOOFers to participate 5 hours a day 5 days a week.
You will stay in a room in our house. Possibly together with other WWOOFers. You will share a bathroom and laundry room with us. We are not vegetarians. When you send in a request, please let us know if you have any allergies or things you do not or cannot eat. Of course, we provide your food, sheets, and towels.
In your free time, you can borrow a bike from us. We are happy to give you tips about nice excursion destinations nearby. It is easy to take the bus to Gothenburg during the day or discover the wonderful archipelago. When we are free we like to go on small excursions. We are happy to take you with us if you want!

This was one of my best Wwoofing experiences so far, Veronica and her family is so kind, the house is big and beautiful and the scenery stunning. The worktasks vary a lot from seeding to woodchopping, so you never get bored. There is always enough food and they provide bycicles or they take you to the next bus station. I felt very welcomed and would definetely recommend this place!

Veronica's and Staffan's family farm is a very lovely place to stay at. Upon setting foot in the home you are met with kindness, respect and good cooking and we were very quickly accepted in their family.
The nature around Orust is very beatiful and they are happy to give you tips and lend you bikes to have a look around.
They also took us with them on many trips around the island and we even tried rowing, which was a great experience.
Our work consisted of a lot of different things and we gained a lot of new knowledge and love for organic farming.
We are grateful for this whole experience. Thank you :D

I stayed Veronica's family more than 2months. I did weeding, planting, making vegetable beds, help building their green house, harvesting and making a vege box. I had so many wonderful memories there. They showed me a lot of things about
・Their house( it's so cute, I'm so impress they build themself!)
・Organic gardening ( It's hard work with organic veges, but it's worth it when I harvested beautiful veges)
・Swedish life ( Her cooking is always delicious and I was excited Swedish food and kanelbulle every time, they invited me to the event all the time that I saw Swedish things so much)
I can't write everything here, I had too many memories with them but thank you very much for every things. I was so happy to stay and working with you :)

I spent one week with this lovely family and had a really good time. I learnt about farming and traditional wooden house building and we swimmed in the sea because of the nice weather, did some climbing and attended the midsommar tradition.
The kids, Frank and Maud, are very sweet and are happy to play with you (e.g. playing video games or jumping on the trampoline). Staffan and Veronica are also lovely people that are happy to welcome you in their home, share their knowledge and show you around Orust. They take good care of you! I would definitely recommend this family :)

I spent several weeks with Veronica and her family. I really enjoyed my time in Orust with them. I learnt a lot of things at their place, different tasks so it was nice to discover new skills and tools.
I also appreciated the family made me visit Orust and arround the isle with them.
