1. We live on a farm just outside of Genarp 25km from Malmö and Lund. We who live here is a couple on 30 years old and our son at the time writing this is 3 years and a cat.
Me Marcus who mainly run the vegtable operation is a chef who got interested in food systems and wanted to grow fresh and exiting crops for restaurants, shops, and private people.
At the farm we have a small shed where we sell veggies and eggs from thursday to saturday.
We also go around on farmers markets.
We mainly farm vegtables at the moment but also keep about 300 Hens and 8 sheep.
We farm vegtables, potatoes and perenials on 2 Hectars and 1 hectar för grazing and green manure.
We grow a wide range of crops outside and in two 280sqm greenhouse tunnels. Most of the anuall vegtables you could imagine such as tomatoes, potatoes, lettuce, eatable flowers,herbs, brassicas etc.
2. Helping out with the vegtable production and feeding animals etc. Weeding,harvesting, delivering, planting, seeding etc. if interested we usually have a couple of building projects going on aswell. I would happily share my knowlage in farming and cooking.
3.I would say you could be quite free of how to spend your time but i would expect approximatly 4 hours of work a day from monday to friday. I work with this full time during the summer and usually start early mornings to be able to harvets and deliver during the morning while the veggies are at its peak of the day. But usually there is enough to do even later during the day. Weekends off and there is plenty of places to visit within low range.
4. I'm interested in cooking and farming obvoiusly and enjoy wood fired cooking outside during the summer months with our own produce. We are also spending quite some time renovating our house.
The farm is close to natural reserves and lovely forests for those who enjoy wildlife, biking, hiking etc. Buses to Lund and Malmö and more or less the whole of skåne are within walking distance.
Bus connection aswell to a couple of lakes and the sea.
We have 2 different opportunities for wwoofers, one appartment with kitchen and toilet, double bed and heating. Preferably for a couple or 2 friends but also possible for a single person who wants to stay the whole season from may- end of oktober
Or staying in a caravan with access to shower and laundry in our house. So everyone will have their own private space.
The apartment is available for one person from mid September.
