A family farm in Skirö, having bees, animals and making a lot of Appel juice etc

We have our own cafe and farm store where we sell our homemade jam chutney marmalade juice and so on from our own garden. We have goats hens rabbits and horses that we are working whit. We also have an apple juice production where people come whit their apples and we make juice from them. And we have bees so we are taking the honey from them.
Working with the animals, driving the horses, working with the young horses teaching them to be good draft horses. Working with the bees and how you handle them. If it’s apple season, we are working a lot with making juice of the apples. And also teach them to take care of the fruits and vegetables.
You may eat breakfast lunch and dinner together with us. We have a little cottage on our farm where they can live by themselves.
We always start the day out with the animals feeding them and giving them water. Then it’s breakfast time, some days I go to my normal work (also work as a nurse) then they have free time and we work more on the farm in the afternoon. Otherwise, we start up with cleaning for the animals and then we make projects like harvesting something or making fences for the animals making apple juice and so on it depending on the time of the year. And what the projects are, we normally eat lunch at 13 and then we often do something inside or more easy work. If I work as a nurse I come home at 14 or 15 and cook dinner and then work at the farm afterward.
Here we love to take out the horses or the dog in the forest, we have really lovely walking lines in the woods here. We also have our own lake where you can go fishing or swimming, we have four nice lakes in an area of 4km.
We also like going to the Ski Center if it’s open in the winter.

I had my first ever wwoofing experience at Loaklev Lustgård, and it was amazing. They made me feel very home, and gave me many fun jobs, like taking care of the animals, chopping wood, painting with the Swedish red color and picking black current. Free time was spent riding the horses, bathing in the lake and enjoying the beautiful nature. I can definitely recommend wwoofing at Loaklev Lustgård!

Loaklev Lustgård was the best farm for my first wwoofing experience! I felt really welcome and right at home with Mikaela's family. I was able to experience different tasks almost everyday during my 2 weeks stay: feeding the animals, weeding/planting/harvesting/watering in the garden, making rhubarb juice and jam for the shop, baking for the café, help with the horses and the stable, picking the eggs and so on. Besides the work, fika time also didn't come too short, whereby we were always provided with delicious sweets. Mikaela also took me for hose rides which were fantastic. In my free-time, I mostly cuddled with the 3 loving cats or took the new puppy for a walk. Overall, I could not have been happier with this experience (only that the 2 weeks were over too soon).

I had such an amazing time at the farm with Mikaela, Sonny and Hjalmar! This was my first woofing-experience and I think it couldn't have been better. They were such a warm and welcoming family and created a wonderful time. I was able to stay with another woofer in their cozy cottage, which was super nice and they also lent us their car one day, so we could visit a moosefarm.
The tasks on the farm varied a lot. I fed the animals, cleaned their stables, chopped wood, did some gardening and baked together with Mikaela. My highlights were definitely the rides with Mikaela in the forest. The work was always fun and there was still enough time to relax and cuddle with all their cute animals. :)

It was my first wwoofing experience and I loved it a lot. I‘m a bit sad that I didn’t know about wwoofing before. 😄 Mikaela, Sonny, Hjalmar, the whole family and the other wwoofing girl were so warm-hearted that I felt like home. Loaklev Lustgård is such a beautiful place that you feel like in Astrid Lindgrens picture books. Thank you that we were allowed to stay in the cozy house on the meadow. Waking up there every morning and seeing the animals and the sunrise was so beautiful. Our task varied a lot, which I really liked so every day was a bit different. For example we were painting the stable, gardening, taking care of the animals, making jam, pickled cucumbers, fences for the horses, cleaning the stables… Thank you that you trusted us so much in riding Fortuna, taking your paddle boat and that we could take your car for some trips. The carriage ride with Fortuna was such a wonderful experience. I would for sure recommend a WWOOF stay at Loaklev Lustgård! I’m already planning to come back 😉

It was my first time wwoofing and I was very nervous about travelling to another country alone. But Mikaela and her family made me feel so welcome, I quickly forgot about it. The farm and the entire country side are the most beautiful things I have ever seen and I enjoyed my time there immensely. I didn´t know what to expect, but it was the best experience! I got to ride Fortuna a lot and spent a lot of my time just chilling with the animals, especially the cats :)
But I also was taught about the garden and the bees and I made jam for the first time in my life.
If I could, I would have stayed longer, but I am very sure I want to come back to Loaklev. I would definetely recommend it to everyone who thinks about wwoofing!!

Loaklev lustgard is wonderful place for having a wwoof experience. The tasks vary a lot such as feeding the animals, gardening, painting, baking for the Café and so on...Mikaela and her Family are just great! They are funny and warm and I felt very welcome there. I really loved this place! :)
