We moved to our farm in December 2014. The wonderful location of the farm, the surrounding nature, the beautiful house, and the cozy village made us take the plunge and move from our childhood town. We have been working with agriculture and sheep breeding since 2005 when we bought our previous farm in Blekinge. Growing organically is the given choice for us. We want to benefit biological diversity, increase the earth's teeming life, and help beneficial insects and birds to increase in number. We want to spread knowledge about diversity, the importance of the earth, and the importance of organic farming in the society of the future.

Me and my boyfriend were at Markus Farm for one month in November. It is a relatively big farm also with other workers. You work 6 hours a day/5 days a week. Sometimes we worked longer but then could sleep in on the next day. We stayed in an apartment on the farm and were mostly cocking our own food or staying just the two of us in the evenings. We had various tasks on Markus farm. From cleaning boxes, making juice and jam to catching lost pigs or sorting eggs. In the first two weeks the tasks varied a lot and it wasn’t boring at all, after that the tasks started to repeat themselves a bit. So we recommend staying about two or three weeks. We also recommend coming with the car, if possible because there is a beautiful landscape to discover. We often worked with anna or other workers, wich was always fun. When we had questions Markus and Anna were always helping us. We were happy to be there and it was a new woofing experience for us!

Although it was only for 10 days, I had a wonderful experience thanks to Marcus, Anna, their daughter, and everyone I worked with. They were all so kind and welcoming. My tasks included taking care of the chickens, harvesting potatoes, labeling and packing products. The farm is quite large and produces a variety of items. Maybe it was just the timing, but I ended up doing more packing and shipping work than actual field work. I had a cozy log cabin with two beds all to myself. Meals were mostly self-catered, though on workdays we sometimes ate together. Since the ocean is nearby, I enjoyed taking evening walks along the shore. I’d be happy to come help again if there’s another opportunity!

We had a wonderful time at Marcus and Annas farm. It was lovely to see all the cute animals and to interact with them. We did a lot of different tasks (harvesting nettles, putting etiketts on bottles, looking after the chicken, pruning apple trees etc.). Everyone on the farm is very nice and they always give you a helping hand! We would love to come back again :)

We spent 10 days with Marcus and Anna; there are lots of different tasks to do. A very nice team, even if it was in the middle of preparing for the season and therefore not yet at full strength. Many thanks to all

I had an amazing experience at Marcus and Anna’s farm. I had fun while experiencing the farm life and learning something new everyday. I always felt welcomed, the food was great and the activities were never boring, there was always something new to do, from picking the eggs to retrieving escaping pigs or picking fruits. I highly recommend being a wwofer here!😁
