A small traditional cottage, around 100 years old, without electricity or running water.

Me a woman in mid 40s and my two boys have a lovely old cottage very simple life where we enjoy our time. Our desire is to run the cottage in its simplicity, there is no water or electricity ( i can get water and charge phones on my familys farm near by) . We grow mainly flowers for my creative work, but also a little bit of food.
WWOOFers will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities, including:
Maintaining the garden, enjoying a variety of flowers
Construction and renovation projects if wanted, its an old house and always there is something that need to be done, like paiting a wall, a window, mend a fence. Lighther or harder depending on what you want. Just come with suggestions and we try it together. Clearing small things in the forest and chopping firewood is always needed.
WWOOFers will be accommodated in a simple and cozy environment. Me and my boys live in the main house and there is a separate guest room/art studio with a daybed that can be converted into a double bed. If more then 2 there will be a tent avalible.
Meals will be shared. We provide food that we eat, I do vegetarian and boys eat everything. Love to eat your food as well, there is a big supermarket not to far away so we can plan food togheter. There’s a swimming spot located 15 minutes away by bike, that place also have a sauna we can use or 30min by car to the sea shore.
The daily schedule will be very flexible. Our aim is to offer the opportunity to live in a simple way, focusing on taking care of the cottage and garden in its simplicity and taking care of ourselfs by enjoying the stillness of the nature.
As your local host, I enjoy activities like hiking, going to the beach, theater and other things. I do have an apartment in Nyköping as well, we travel between the cottage and city every week, very flexible.
This year ill be working some at the welfare office so i wish for 2 ppl to come so you can be alone there if i need to go work at the office m
The cottage is surrounded by beautiful forests and is completely secluded while still being close to public transportation (2 km to the nearest bus).
I grew up in the area and we learn and grow togheter and enjoy the work and silence of the nature.

Jeanette is a great host, she is really kind, open minded and from the first day i felt very comfortable with her and her kids. There are many different things to do on the farm so the days are very varied and you can also suggest or choose what to do. You can also explore the beautiful nature of the area, Jeanette showed me some really pretty spots, also for swimming and we visited other farms for Inspiration and exchange with other farmers which was really interesting. I can really recommend staying with jeanette. It is very simple but calming, nature-connecting and i learnt a lot. Thank you for this experience!:)

Jeanette is an incredible host, she is willing to share all her knwoledge. No matter if it is about flowers or swedish culture. To stay wit her is a very good way to get to know the swedish way of living. She´s very open minded, down to earth and so highly interested in plants and agriculture in general. You can find a lot of books and you also have many chances to discuss the diffrent ways of living and farming.
The tasks were easy, you even can choose what you are up to and suggest your own ideas. The hours passed by quickly. If you want to gain expierience on how it looks to start a farm from scratch this place is for you. If you´d like to learn how an already established farm is run and learn about the daily business, you might be happier at another place.
I´m very greatful for this wonderful experience, I got so inspired during my time . There might be also the chance to visit other farms just for inspiration- there usally is time for it.
