A small permaculture farm with vegetables, flowers, agroforestry, hens and occasional public events
Södermanland
Hello WWOOFers!
My name is Linda, and I’m 55 years old. I live with my husband, Fredrik, our Australian Kelpie, Cosmo, five hens, bees, and occasionally our three children on our small farm. We try to follow permaculture principles.
The farm is sometimes opening its gates for visitors to enjoy cafés, rent the venue for workshops on art, permaculture and other topics, art galleries, and yoga/meditation classes or day retreats. Outside of the farm, I work as a journalist now and then —though I’m aiming to grow my business here so I can spend more time on the land.
I am a certified permaculture designer. I believe that WWOOFers who visit will learn also from the farm itself and the plants and ecosystems that thrive here. That’s been my own experience—I learn something new every single day.
I love cooking (for family and friends and on occasion for our paying guests) and preserving what we grow on the farm and forage from the surrounding forests. We also fish in the nearby lake (though we rarely catch anything!). If you enjoy cooking, you’re very welcome to join me in the kitchen.
The farm keeps me busy, especially with my 400-square-meter kitchen garden and a few smaller vegetable gardens, a small greenhouse, flower gardens inspired by various historical themes, and a young agroforestry project that we plan to expand this year.
For accommodation, we have a separate house with a yoga studio on one end and a studio apartment on the other. The apartment includes a large double room, a small double room, a combined kitchen/living room, and a bathroom with a shower. The bathroom, the hallway and the kitchen will be shared with guests when I have yoga classes (1-2 times/week).
You’ll most likely like/love the food—a lot of it comes from the farm (in summer we are almost self-suffcient but probably not so much in springtime) —but if you don’t, just let me know, and I’ll step up my game! When I’m away, I’ll make sure to leave prepared meals for you to heat up.
I normally work in the garden everyday my self (and quite often also Fredrik, my husband, and sometimes my son, Hubert) so we can work together but I might be away half a day on occasion.
It is possible to go to Stockholm in 1 hour. I can drive you to the train station if the buses dont fit. You may take the bus or join me for visits in the closest small town Mariefred.
Tasks here on the farm:
Kitchen garden: Transplanting seedlings, weeding, maintaining the small greenhouse, adding fertilizer, mulching (e.g., raking grass to use as mulch), etc.
Flower gardens: Since the gardens are an important part of the experience for guests and also for all the pollinators here, we try to keep them in good condition. The work here involves planting dahlias and summer flowers, weeding, and trimming boxwood, hornbeam, and other shrubs.
Forest garden: Last summer, we started establishing a small forest garden and plan to plant quite a bit more this spring/summer. Although we practice no-till, it may still involve digging up grass and creating holes for planting.
Henhouse: Cleaning the henhouse, feeding the hens.
Other tasks: Mowing the grass (riding lawnmower for most areas).
Looking forward to hear from you and don´t hesitate to ask whatever you would like to know!

I stayed at Linda’s place during the Easter holidays, and it was such a wonderful experience. Her home is beautifully decorated and incredibly cozy, and the surrounding nature is absolutely stunning.
Thanks to her, I got to experience life on a farm—replanting, taking care of the soil, cooking, and baking with organic vegetables and ingredients. Since I usually live in the city, I truly enjoyed this peaceful time in the countryside and the chance to slow down and be present.
I was also lucky enough to join one of Linda’s calming yoga sessions, which made the experience even more special. What I appreciated most was Linda herself—her warmth and kindness made me feel so comfortable and cared for. She also has a lovely dog, just as warm as she is.
I left feeling recharged, healed, and with a deeper appreciation for nature and the importance of being present. (And I have to say—her organic cooking is absolutely fantastic!)
I’m truly grateful for this meaningful time at her farm. Linda is such an inspiring woman. 🩷

My WWOOFing stay at Linda’s farm was truly an unforgettable and inspiring experience. Linda welcomed me with warmth and kindness, immediately making me feel at home.
During my stay, I learned so much not only about her vision for permaculture and agroforestry, but also about the ecological methods she uses to care for the soil and fertilizers. Linda was always generous with her knowledge, patiently explaining the characteristics and needs of each flower and vegetable we worked with.
This place is so lovely, surrounded by a variety of plants and trees!
