Our daughter Miriam and a small view of the garden.
Our Walipini greenhouse as it is now, with storage and toilet. We will also grow on the roof. Our ducks live in greenhouses in the winter and then we grow there in the summer.

Welcome to our farm! Me Daniel and my wife Ida live here with our two children Miriam, 10 years old, and Kerstin, 7 years old. We also have two dogs and three cats. At our farm, you will have a unique opportunity to be part of developing a sustainable and ecologicical farm. The most unique thing about our farm is that we are building a 350 m2 Walipini greenhouse that will provide us with fruits and vegetables all year round. The greenhouse will be 7 meters high and we plan to grow from the ground up to the roof. We will have about 80 exotic fruit trees in the greenhouse but also grow vegetables and berries. We want to create a jungle that will not only provide for our family, but also give us a surplus for others. This greenhouse is completely unique in its kind and is a great learning experience. You will gain knowledge about how to make a greenhouse stay frost-free in this cold part of Europe. When you come to us, you will help build our Walipini greenhouse, but also take care of the fruit trees, chickens, ducks and geese. We have purchased 2000 trees and shrubs that we will grow on our farm and then sell. We have also planted about 400 fruit trees in the garden that we will take fruit from and process. The farm chores are varied, but many of them involve physical exertion, so we hope you enjoy working with your body. Our house has two living rooms, two bathrooms and a large kitchen that you will share with us. You will have your own single or double room. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner but if you feel hungry at other times there is always the opportunity to have a sandwich or something else you like. We are a Christian family and we live our faith in our daily lives. We are open-minded and welcome everyone, regardless of background. We spend a lot of time with friends which we enjoy. We also love being in nature. There are all kinds of opportunities to go on day trips and longer hikes in our area. Otherwise, we like to go swimming in our lake or invite friends over and have a barbecue in the evening. We do not smoke or drink alcohol in our family and we want you not to smoke or drink either during the time you stay with us. We hope that several WWOOFers will join us this summer so that we can work together, exchange knowledge, and build friendships. The tasks are varied, and you will learn by participating in hands-on work. We are happy to share our knowledge and experience so that you can take valuable insights from our farm back to your own life. We hope you will have a wonderful experience to remember for the rest of your life. Best regards Daniel & Ida

We were 4 Woofers and stayed with Daniel and the family for 2 entire months and it was a great time! The work hours were very reasonabale with a lot of free time everyday, the people were extremely nice and the many pets were very cute. We were included in the daily life and came along with a lot of activities like going to the lake, to barbecues and playing beach volleyball. We will all definitely keep great memories of our time here for our whole lives!

It was really lovely to spend time on the farm 👩🏻‍🌾✨. Daniel and Ida are very hospitable, welcoming, and helpful, from the start, they showed this by responding quickly to messages and offering a video call to get to know each other 🎦. The farm space is beautiful, as is the house, which is spacious and surrounded by nature 🦅☘️. We worked 4 hours in the greenhouse in the morning and had the rest of the day free. Most of my work involved painting 🖌️🔴. They organize activities to take part in, like barbecues, volleyball, trips to the lake or church, mushroom picking, evening-movie, walks with the dogs... 🎲🪵 I had my own room where I could enjoy privacy and personal space 🌼. It was fun playing with their daughters and the other woofers ⭐their daughter Miriam made me a beautiful bracelet to keep as a memory ☺️. 🤩🌲During my stay, the light and dense clouds made the landscape feel like a "moving painting"... The photos on this site really don’t do justice to the beauty of the house and the surrounding green energy🖼️. All their cats were adorably cuddly 🥺🐈‍⬛. Daniel and Ida are sweet and calm people. I really enjoyed living on their farm — I highly recommend this experience ☺️🌱

10/10 experience. The family and home are very welcoming and nice. The work / free time balance is extremely generous. I had never welded before and Daniel allowed me enough independence and guidance to learn and grow in a very nice environment. Cannot say enough good things about the family, community, and experience. If you’re interested in rural Sweden, greenhouse, construction, etc. this is a wonderful stay for you. Food is always available, house is very nice!

I had a great time with Daniel, ida and the Kids (and the cats (^.^) ). The athmosphere was verry generous and relaxed. Even the work was fun and i hat the oportunity to try new things. On afternoons, after the daywork was done they invited us often to volleyball, BBQ, Bordgame evenings or to the lake. Often with there friends. You realy can come into contact with the local community. And if you rather have the time for yourself, it is fine too. Only little downside is that the lake was to far for a quick swim in the morning. But you have planty of time to enjoy it in the afternoon and on weekends Great people, great time :)

The Bergman family are truly wonderful hosts who made me feel welcomed and appreciated right away. Daniel and Ida are kind-hearted and loving people who really wanted us to have a good time at their place and who gave us many great opportunities to socialize and do activities in our free time. Connecting to the other wwoofers felt easy. The work was really fun and we did new things almost every day, thus I learned a lot! Thanks for the unforgettable time! <3

I had a wonderful time at Daniel's and Ida's place! They are two of the warmest and most welcoming people I've ever met and it is not easy to put all those positive emotions into one short review. Work was interesting and diverse, most of it involved building Walipini greenhouse. I've learned so many useful skills. Daniel was always patient with me. He never forced me to do anything but still let me take on highly responsible tasks if I was interested. We didn't have to work more than 4-5 hours 5 times a week and Daniel was open to give us free time for activities such as multiday hike. He even often drove us or lent us a car. We were almost always invited to join family in their daily activities. I especially enjoyed visiting local church meetings with them. We met a lot of lovely people during our stay. I just can't believe how nice and open to talk everyone was. I also really enjoyed sense of humor which was part of daily life as well :) Ida is a great cook and I enjoyed talking to the whole family, especially improving my Swedish with Miriam and Kerstin, my two patient teachers :) One month wasn't nearly enough time and saying goodbye wasn't easy. But I hope to visit Bergmans gård soon again and hopefully meet not only family, but also at least part of our amazing wwoofers gang :)
