Hello!
Welcome to our farm in the incredibly beautiful Sinarpsdalen! Here we live, David & Lina, with our youngest son still at home and with two daughters who have moved out and come to visit between the yards. Two cats also move in and out of the houses as they please.
Our operations on the farm cover the entire chain from farm to table. We grow vegetables, berries and fruit in our market garden, the pigs dig the soil in the pasture next door and in the valley graze cows of old farm breeds and a large flock of sheep. In the farm shop we sell meat and charcuterie from our own production and in the restaurant we serve food that mainly consists of what we have grown and produced ourselves.
A typical summer day on the farm includes daily supervision of all the animals - cows, sheep, pigs and possibly ducks. The kitchen garden needs to be watered, weeds removed, vegetables harvested and delivered to the kitchen and shop. Fences need to be repaired, fields cleared and animals moved to new pastures. Buildings need to be painted and repaired. In the kitchen and shop, help with washing up and serving may be needed.
The accommodation we offer is a separate apartment that we call ”the studio”. There are three bedrooms, a separate kitchen and a huge living room. The living room may occasionally need to be used for events and courses. We make sure that there is food in the studio. You eat breakfast there. Lunch is served as staff food in the restaurant kitchen. We eat dinner together at least two days a week, the other evenings you cook in the studio or get food from the restaurant.
When we sometimes have time off from the farm, Lina loves to swim (in the sea) or go to yoga classes in the neighboring village, while David likes to do some stone wall building. On our free summer days, we like to go to the island next door (Hallands väderö) or one of the many beaches along the Bjäre peninsula.
