🌿 Start-up Phase Homestead – WWOOF Welcome
We are a three-generation family (grandmother, mother, and two adult sons, born between 1944 and 1998) living in the Swedish countryside. We are currently in a start-up and development phase, building our homestead step by step toward a simple, natural, and self-sufficient way of life.
We live on the same land in separate buildings and work closely together, while also having regular jobs outside the homestead. We share daily life, responsibilities, and projects, while respecting each other’s personal space. Community, cooperation, and calmness are important to us.
We welcome WWOOFers who enjoy practical work, being outdoors, and living close to nature. Tasks include vegetable gardening, small building and fencing projects, animal care, handling firewood, and other shared homestead projects.
We will also be painting buildings and dismantling an old caravan. The work is physical but varied, and we usually work around 6 hours per day.
We want to be open that we are learners ourselves as well. This place is built on mutual learning and exchange. We value curiosity, openness, and learning by doing — both sharing our own experiences and learning from our visitors.
Animals are part of our self-sufficient lifestyle, including for meat, and they are treated with care and respect. We are not vegetarian, and it is important that you feel comfortable with this.
🌱 Plans for 2026

🏡 Accommodation & Meals
WWOOFers stay in a wooden cabin on wheels with a small kitchen: simple but comfortable living close to nature. This also gives you the opportunity to retreat and have your own quiet space after work if needed.
The cabin has its own separating toilet and a bathroom with a shower. At the moment, the shower isn't connected because a water pipe burst, but we're working on fixing it. The cabin also has a wood-burning stove.
At the moment, our WWOOFers use the shower in our house, and they can also do their laundry there.
We cook and share meals together.
Because we try to eat as much seasonal food as possible from our own garden and animals (when available), it can be difficult to accommodate extensive or very specific dietary requirements.
🌿 Daily Life & Surroundings
The days start calmly, after which we work together on ongoing projects around the homestead. The surroundings offer forests and water, with opportunities for hiking, swimming, and paddling.
We enjoy a quiet lifestyle with shared meals and good conversations. And we work hard to turn dreams into reality. Music is appreciated if visitors enjoy playing, even though we do not play ourselves.
We offer a calm place where different generations live together, where you can learn by doing, live close to nature, and become part of a growing homestead.
You are very welcome to contact us if this feels right for you 🌿 We prefer to have a video call before accepting your visit request, as we believe this greatly increases the chances of a successful and enjoyable stay for both you and our family.
Oh, and: no smoking and no drugs.
